Heinz von Diringshofen Papers
Heinz von Diringshofen (1900-1967) was a pioneer in aviation and space medicine, contributing greatly to the field through his research on the effects of weightlessness on pilots and human tolerance to multiple g-loads. The collection consists largely of materials documenting Diringshofen's laboratory and research activities and of published and unpublished writings by Diringshofen and others.
Jaroslav Nemec Medico-Legal Collection
Material assembled by Jaroslav Nemec as part of his work at the National Library of Medicine. Included are short biographies of important figures in forensic medicine, a directory of institutes of legal medicine, two narrative articles, and correspondence and other material resulting from a project to identify all conference, congresses, and meetings on legal medicine.
